General Care & Maintenance – Indoor Furniture
•    Keep furniture away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and air vents to prevent fading, drying, or cracking.
•    Use coasters, placemats, and trivets to protect surfaces from heat, cold, and moisture.
•    Wipe up spills immediately to prevent staining or water damage.
•    Dust regularly using a soft, dry or slightly damp cloth; avoid saturating surfaces with water.
•    For tougher spots, use a mixture of mild dish soap and water, then dry with a clean, soft cloth.
•    Do not use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or products containing ammonia or bleach.
•    Avoid dragging furniture—always lift and carry to prevent structural damage.
•    Use felt pads or protective glides under chair and table legs to protect floors.
•    Do not place plants, wet items, or decorative objects directly on surfaces without protection to prevent discoloration or rings.

Upholstered Sofas & Sectionals
•    Vacuum regularly using an upholstery brush attachment to remove dust, crumbs, and pet hair.
•    Blot spills immediately with a clean, absorbent cloth—do not rub.
•    Spot clean with mild soap and water or a recommended upholstery cleaner; always test in an inconspicuous area first.
•    Avoid placing sharp objects, heavy bags, or clothing with rivets/zippers on the upholstery to prevent snags and tears.
•    When possible fluff and rotate cushions regularly to maintain shape and even wear.

PU (Faux) Leather Furniture
•    Wipe regularly with a soft, damp cloth to remove dust and dirt.
•    For deeper cleaning, use mild soap and water—never harsh solvents or alcohol-based cleaners.
•    Keep away from direct sunlight and heat to avoid cracking or peeling.

Wood Tables
•    Dust weekly with a soft, dry cloth or microfiber duster.
•    Clean with a damp cloth followed by immediate drying with a clean towel.
•    Use coasters and placemats to avoid scratches, stains, and heat marks.
•    Polish occasionally with a high-quality furniture polish or oil.
•    Do not place hot dishes, wet glasses, or plants directly on the surface.
•    Inspect joints and hardware periodically; tighten if needed.
•    Use protective glides to avoid floor scratches.

Laminate Tops
•    Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild soap solution; dry immediately.
•    Avoid using abrasive pads, scouring powders, or harsh chemicals.
•    Use trivets for hot items to prevent heat damage.

Dining Chairs – Upholstered & Non-Upholstered
•    Upholstered: Vacuum regularly with an upholstery attachment; spot clean spills promptly with mild soap and water.
•    Non-upholstered: Wipe with a soft damp cloth; dry immediately to avoid water spots.

Indoor Furniture & Accessories Warranty

Frame: Dot Furniture warrants all frames to be free of manufacturing defects for one year.

Springs: Dot Furniture warrants all springs to be free against breakage due to defective material or workmanship for one year.

Foam: Dot Furniture warrants all foam cushions for a period of one year against loss of resiliency. The loss of resiliency should not be confused with a slight softening or flattening of the fiber and foam that will occur as the result of normal use.

Bed Mechanism and Mattress: Dot Furniture warrants the bed mechanism and mattress for one year.

Fabric: Dot Furniture warrants the fabric, and any defective materials and workmanship for one year. The warranty does not cover fading, piling or shrinking and is not valid where there is heavy soiling or abuse. Fabric damage or failure due to chemical treatment or improper cleaning is also excluded from this warranty.

Casegoods: Dot Furniture warrants material and workmanship of Casegoods for one year.

Wood: Wood furniture is covered for one year against structural defects, including frame, joints, and hardware issues, as well as cracking, warping, or splitting due to manufacturing defects.

Exclusions:

Warranty claims are only valid with the original receipt and must be assessed by our service center. Warranties apply only under normal usage and conditions. For goods requiring assembly, inspect all parts and hardware before assembly. Valid claims for missing or defective parts must be made prior to assembly. Normal wear and tear are not covered, including but not limited to cuts, scratches, or impact damage, discoloration or shrinkage, fabric pilling or misshapen filling materials, stains, or other signs of regular use. Alterations that depart from the original design void the warranty. Damage from using a product in a manner other than its intended design is not covered. Examples include standing on chairs or jumping on beds. Damage caused by exposure to excessive moisture, direct sunlight, or extreme temperatures, such as warping or discoloration, is excluded. Indoor furniture used outdoors or in inappropriate environments is not covered. Natural variations in grain patterns, color, and knots in wood are not considered defects and are excluded from the warranty.
