Home Delivery

Dot Furniture offers delivery to most major cities and postal codes across Ontario.for a fee. The fee is based on your postal code and can be calculated at your local store or in the checkout process on our website. All shipping fees will be calculated after you have entered your information and postal code. Most in-stock furniture can be delivered within 1-2 weeks from the date we process your order.
 
Standard local delivery is free and curbside, meaning items may be placed outside at the front of your home.
 
A VIP local delivery service is available for $99 and includes delivery to your room of choice (including backyard access where applicable) as well as packaging removal for items that do not require assembly.
 
Assembly and box removal are not included in standard delivery. These services are available for an additional fee. Items requiring assembly must have assembly service added in order to qualify for packaging removal.
 
Deliveries are scheduled within a 4-hour window, which will be provided by email approximately two days prior to your delivery date. Delivery windows cannot be adjusted once confirmed, and specific delivery times cannot be guaranteed at the time of purchase.

Shipping through Canada Post and UPS
Dot Furniture currently ships within Canada. Each piece of furniture has a different shipping time, mainly depending on the manufacturer. Most furniture ships within 1-4 weeks from the date we process your order. All shipping fees will be calculated after you have entered your information and postal code.  

 

Curbside Pickup
If you have selected pickup, you may pick up your online order at any of our Dot locations. You will be notified via email with the date of the pickup.  To select curbside pickup on your online orders, simply select "Pickup in Store - (YOUR STORE CHOICE) - FREE" under shipping options on the checkout page. An e-mail will be sent to notify you when your order is ready for pickup. You may also find more answers on our FAQs page.

Please bring your receipt and photo identification to the store to present. Carefully read the following before picking up your order:

  • The credit card holder used to make this payment must be present
  • The credit card used to make this payment be presented
  • The card holder must present photo id
  • Prepare your vehicle in advance so that you have room for the product.
  • Dot does not supply rope, bungees cords, string or tape.
  • You must have your own supplies to secure product in your vehicle.
  • If your items are heavy come prepared with people to help you. Our staff are not required to load your vehicle.
     

Out of Stock/Backorder Products
In some cases, items will be back-ordered and out of stock. You will be notified within 48 hours with an estimated delivery time, at which time you may opt to cancel your order at no additional charge.  We cannot give out exact delivery dates since we are waiting for these products from the factories. In some cases, this can take up to 16 weeks.

 

Shipping Damages
When the merchandise is received, we ask that you inspect the outside of the boxes or packaging for any shipping damage. In the event there is noticeable damage to the boxes or packaging, we ask that this is noted on the bill as “Damaged Cartons - Subject to inspection”. If you find there is damage to the product contact the store where you made your purchase directly within 24 hours of receiving with a detailed description of the issue along with a photo and we will take care of the rest.

 

Canceling or Changing Orders
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to orders@dot-furniture.com within 24 hours from the time the order is placed.  At Dot Furniture we understand that cancellations are an unfortunate part of shopping online. Sometimes the incorrect item is ordered, or you simply just had a change of heart. We want you to love your new furniture purchase with us; this is why we allow our customers up to 24 hours to cancel an order from the time it is placed. Dot Furniture will process your order after the 24-hour grace period has passed.

If you do not notify us of any changes within the 24-hour window, Dot Furniture will proceed with your order.

In the event of a cancellation of an order after the 24-hour grace period, the customer will be responsible for a cancellation or restocking fee of 20% of the purchase price as well as return shipping fees that may apply.

 

Refusing Delivery
If you return, refuse, or miss your delivery appointment you will be responsible for all returns and any re-shipping costs. 

 

Return Policy
Merchandise that is new, unused, and in its original packaging may be returned for a refund or credit within 7 days of delivery accompanied with an original receipt.

If there is nothing wrong with the merchandise and you simply do not like the choice you made, the item may be returned within 7 days of delivery or pick-up for a refund or in-store credit minus a 20% restocking fee. You are responsible for all return shipping costs. Refunds will be processed based on the original method of payment.

Merchandise cannot be refunded when in transit.

Refunds must be returned to the original store location from which they were purchased.

Cash Sales will be refunded by Dot Furniture company cheque and will be mailed within 7 to 10 business days.

There is a $250 limit for debit refunds. Any amounts exceeding this limit will be refunded by cheque and will be mailed within 7 to 10 business days.

If an item is delivered damaged, please report it to us within 24 hours with a detailed description of the issue along with a photo by opening a ticket here. It will then be assessed so that the item will be repaired, replaced or credited towards another item. 

Goods requiring assembly need special care when handling. Inspect all parts and hardware BEFORE assembly. Valid part and/or hardware claims must be made PRIOR to assembly. Damages resulting from assembly errors and/or mishandling of parts, most notably scratches, are not covered by warranty.In the event the furniture does not fit into the room or into the house, the customer is responsible for the freight cost both ways and a 20% restocking fee, no exceptions.

Please note it may take up to 30 days for the refund to post to your credit card statement.

No Fit Policy It is the purchaser’s responsibility to ensure that all items will fit through doorways, hallways, stairwells, and into the intended space prior to delivery. If delivery cannot be completed due to size restrictions, a $50 redelivery fee will apply to any additional attempts, including for reselected items. Items returned due to a no-fit delivery in their original, unopened packaging may be refunded in full, excluding the delivery fee. If the packaging has been opened, a 20% restocking fee may apply
