Firepit Burner Care & Maintenance

• Always use protective when not in use; prevent water from entering the burner.
• Ensure gas/propane is off when not in use.
• Perform periodic checks on insert hardware to make sure the its secure and tighten if needed.
• A base of lava rocks should always be used on the burner; do not cover the heat exchanger.
• Decorative certified glass beads can be used over the base of lava rocks.
• When needed, lava rocks can be replaced. Glass beads can be removed and washed and dried before adding them back.
• When not in use for an extended period, remove the battery from the starter.
• At least twice a year, using a venturi cleaning brush (that can be purchased at your local hardware store) clean the venturi tube to remove any obstructions. The venturi tube is the tube that extends from the burner to the control valve.

Firepit Warranty

Cast Aluminum - D.O.T. Furniture offers a ten year warranty on the frame and a one year warranty on the finish of all cast aluminum furniture to be free from defects in material and workmanship. All warranty work must be assessed by the service centre and is only valid with an original receipt.

Wicker - D.O.T. Furniture offers a five-year warranty on the aluminum frames and a two-year warranty on the resin wicker against all defects in materials and workmanship under normal usage conditions. All warranty work must be assessed by the service centre and is only valid with an original receipt.

Firepit Insert - D.O.T. Furniture offers a one-year limited warranty on fire pit inserts to be free from defects in material and workmanship. All warranty work must be assessed by the service centre and is only valid with an original receipt.

EXCLUSIONS:

Warranty does not include nor cover breakage of glass, normal fading and discoloration, normal wear and tear, scratches, chips, misuse, abuse, neglect, the use of improper cleaning products, use of sun-tan oils or other chemicals, vandalism, damages due to improper assembly, acts of nature such as wind, freezing, etc. and other circumstances beyond defects in material and workmanships. Warranty also does not include delivery, pick up or on-site inspection. Please Retain Receipt for valid warranty.

Care and Maintenance

The best way to keep cast aluminum and wicker looking like new is to take steps to prevent damage from the elements by using a protective cover. The simplest and most inexpensive method to keeping your furniture clean is to pull out the hose and spray it down. Occasionally, when simple hosing off the outdoor furniture does not work, a simple mixture of mild dish soap and water is your best solution. The most important things to avoid are corrosive or abrasive cleaners and other cleaning products such as steel wool that may permanently scratch the protective coating and even the aluminum itself.

To maintain firepit insert hardware, perform periodic checks to make sure the hardware is secure and tighten if needed. Occasionally lava rocks can be replaced. Glass beads can be removed and washed and dried before adding them to the insert again. When the firepit table will not be used for an extended period or during extreme cold weather, remove the battery from the starter. At least twice a year, using a venturi cleaning brush (that can be purchased at your local hardware store) clean the venturi tube. The venturi tube is the tube that extends from the burner to the control valve. This procedure is important to remove any obstruction to the flow of the propane to the burner. Periodically check burner holes for obstructions and clean them away using a brush.
