Care and Maintenance
The best way to keep your umbrella or parasol looking like new is to take steps to prevent damage from the elements. When not in use, close and cover umbrella with a protective cover. The simplest and most inexpensive method to keeping your umbrella or parasol clean is to pull out the hose and spray it down. Occasionally, when hosing off the umbrella or gazebo does not work, a simple mixture of mild dish soap and water is your best solution. Wipe sliding marks on the aluminum poles with a damp cloth. Allow a wet canopy to dry opened up. Do not machine wash or put the cover in the dryer.
Fabrics Care and Maintenance: Fabrics should be cleaned regularly in order to eliminate the need for deeper cleaning. Spot wash the fabric with a sponge or soft bristle brush and a solution of water and mild dish soap. For more difficult stains a commercial stain remover may be used (follow manufacturers instructions and spot test). Do not machine wash or put in the dryer.
Winter Storage
Umbrellas and parasols should be stored in a dry place with a protective winter cover. Check the condition and function of the umbrella, parasols or gazebo. Any defects should be repaired by a professional.
Safety Precautions
Close the umbrella or parasol in windy conditions or when a storm approaches. Never allow the umbrella to flap in the wind; this could damage the canopy. Do not leave an open umbrella or parasol unattended. If damage occurs, this is not covered by the warranty. When adjusting the umbrella or parasol, make sure that no person(s) or item(s) are close. Do not use an umbrella or parasol without an appropriate base. Market umbrellas are designed to be used with a base and in a table for extra support. Caution must be used when using an umbrella in your glass table.
