Setting a Simple & Fresh Spring Table
The art of setting a table is most definitely a skill that takes time and effort to acquire, but with this simple guide, you can recreate a spectacular tablescape that will have your guests wondering if you had it set up by a pro!
The type of décor used in this setup will work with virtually any dining set, you may just have to scale the amount of decor up or down. We’re starting with breeze 72” Oval Table paired with Meghan Armchairs and Swivel Chairs in Shade Grey. This set will help to pull more floral elements with its intricate patterns and soft colour, but it could easily work with a more contemporary set as well. If your chairs require cushions, use a light, airy coloured cushion, such as our “Cloud 9” cushion.
The first step is to lay a base of faux or fresh leaves, like Eucalyptus, in a line down the center of the table. This base should be long and wide enough that it touches the tops of the placemats.
Now add halved grapefruit staggered on top of the leaves about 6” apart. Generously add clementines or tangerines in between. This will give your table a subtle pop of colour and a fresh light aroma.
Place a variety of sizes of ivory LED candles. Here we are using our LED Candles with Glass in small, medium, large, and 3 wick.
We can now begin setting the place settings. Add placemats that have a natural and organic tone and texture. We recommend using our “Natural Woven Round Placemat” in Brown.
Last, set your dinnerware. Of course, you can use your regular dishes for this in any light neutral colour, but we always recommend using shatter-resistant dinnerware for outdoors, such as our “Ciel” melamine dinnerware. It looks beautiful and offers a finish that closely resembles ceramic. It’s even available in 4 colours!
